When you get to Valladolid, leave the bus station and turn to the left. Walk a couple of blocks and you reach the main plaza. Hotels are around it. Even feeling sick we were able to walk to the plaza and look around. Like Mérida, the park here has those cute concrete love seats. The cathedral in the background is very pretty. And there are artesan vendors along one side of the plaza. We found a hotel a few blocks away. Valladolid is not as sanitized for tourists as Mérida. Or, maybe it doesn't have as big a tax base or as many rich people. By that I mean that the streets are not as clean and we didn't see any cute sidewalk cafes. But it has its charm and I like it a lot. Ginger had to take the picture of the Paquita La Del Barrio banner.
