Finally, I'm posting the pictures from Ek' Balam. I've been misspelling it all over the place. But here in the second picture, Ginger is at the entrance and you can read the sign behind her. I assume that this is the correct spelling. One word of advice:
If you go to Ek' Balam, ALWAYS hire a taxi for the round trip. There are no buses or random taxis at the site itself. We told our taxi that we only wanted to pay for the trip there and he LET US, knowing that we would be stuck. We were stranded. We got lucky that a taxi stopped to drop somebody off and didn't have to be back for a couple of hours. We did end up saving a lot of money, though. But the fear of being stranded and sick at the same time was not quite worth it.
Anyway Ek' Balam is fabulous!
