Angela Davis and Me

So, it sort of looks like I photo-shopped myself in here, but there I am, shoulder to shoulder with the great Angela Davis :)

Cowgirl Ginger

Ginger was a gaucho on the South American pampas in a past life or two. You can tell by her expert sadlemanship.

The King Of Flowers

This imperious Johnny Jump-Up is just too cool!

Dog Spelled Backward...

Meet my doggie's supernatural protector. Kwan Yin guards the dog palace. I cropped the part of the doorway where Gilligan chewed and exposed the innards of his futon mattress.

Spider Webs

One benefit of not cutting my grass much last summer was this. These totally cute spider webs pepper the gigantic weeds in my yard. I think they might be cup and saucer spider webs?

Bellingrath Gardens (yet again)

I know, I know, you're getting sick and tired of these pictures. But I'm not and it's my blog. Pretty soon I'll be posting about my latest ideas for graduate school and mulling over the possibility of picking grapes in France. Or, you could scroll back and watch me dance with my dog Gilligan.

Bellingrath Gardens (again)

And more. The lion is pretty cool. Well, the whole place is very nice. It costs $10 to walk around the gardens, more if you want to see the house and take the boat tour (which we did not).

Bellingrath Gardens (continued)

Here are some more beautiful pictures from Bellingrath Gardens. We were there on March 22, 2008.

Bellingrath Gardens

Mommy and I went to Bellingrath Gardens. The azaleas were pretty close to their peak. But I kind of think that being greeted by the topiary sheep was the coolest part. I'm about to post a lot of pictures of the gardens, so those of you who have little interest in decorative flora may want to skip on up or down.

K9 Freestyle - Take 2

Here we are again, the day after Gilligan's 8th birthday. As you can see, he is really getting into this. We're gonna be champion material soon. Note well the expertise of the step-ball-change spin he does at the end. If he looks a little unsure it's only because he's about 56 years old in human dog-years. That's a little long in the tooth to learn to merengue.
