On the road to Kabah...

We left Uxmal and drove to the next ruins on the Puuc Trail, Kabah. On the way, we drove through a town called, I think, Santa Elena. Here's a picture of the cemetery there. I thought you (I assume people will read this) might want to see a Mexican cemetery. They all pretty much look like this one. The pink house with the Che Guevarra picture was too cool. It's funny because there were TONS of painted signs for Calderon, the new president, everywhere, but we never actually talked to anybody who supported him. The only people who would tell us who they voted for said they voted for Obredor, the guy that many claim had the election stolen by Calderon. Anyway, the church in Santa Elena is pretty because of the stark landscape. From dead center it was more impressive, but we didn't want to back the car up on the road to get a better angle.

You gotta get out of the car more often and spend some time with the local folk. The most important person in the world is you, but c'mon, live a bit more.
