Ocelot?

Ok, I guess this is macabre. But Ginger was driving and spied with her big eye this dead cat-creature. She thought it was an ocelot and was so excited about it we had to turn around on this little road and go back to get a better look. We took lots of pictures. It was a beautiful animal. We looked it up in a book about mammals of Yucatán that we found later on at the Uxmal souvenir shop and I can't remember what kind of animal it turned out to be. Larger than a house cat, with a super-long tail. And for anybody who realizes it, we had already been to Uxmal, but we stopped by again on our way back to Merida because we wanted to shop at the souvenir stands outside while we had the certainty of working bathrooms.
The next pictures are of birds at Kabah. They were really spectacular in person, and tricky to photograph, but maybe you can tell something about them. The first person to identify them wins a surprise prize :)
